Step by Step

Climb aboard a comfortable boat and set off on a whale-watching tour of Faxaflói Bay from Reykjavík.

A local guide will provide you with all the information about the life and biology of these marine mammals, whilst you admire the majestic humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and porpoises.

When you board, you’ll be given a thermal coverall to protect you from the elements during the activity. Choose between a 2½-hour express tour or a full 3½-hour tour.

On board, you can stay on deck or in the heated observation area, where it is warmer, and buy snacks or hot drinks.

There is a 90 per cent chance of witnessing this wonderful natural experience with marine mammals. If you do not spot any wildlife during the tour, you will receive a complimentary ticket to enjoy this experience a second time.

If you wish to book return transport, you’ll need to book this as an extra.
