Step by Step
You will start your adventure by being picked up from your accommodation in Tunis, and you can change your meeting point when you make your booking. From there, you'll head to the historic heart of the city: the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through its labyrinthine alleyways, dotted with palaces, mosques and souks where craftsmen work with leather, ceramics and traditional fabrics.
Next, visit the Bardo Museum, famous for housing one of the most impressive collections of Roman mosaics in the world. You will walk through its rooms filled with pieces that tell the story of the life and customs of ancient Carthage and North Africa.
The tour continues to La Goulette, the seaside district of Tunis, where the sea breeze and the seafront cafés will allow you to take a break before lunch. You will enjoy a traditional menu: mechouia salad, couscous, tajine and a typical dessert, accompanied by water and mint tea.
After refuelling, you will travel to the archaeological ruins of Carthage, which offer a splendid viewpoint overlooking the coast. You will visit thermal baths, villas and necropolises while your guide recounts the glories and tragedies of this ancient Punic and Roman city.
To end the day, you will reach Sidi Bou Said, the iconic white and blue village perched above the Mediterranean. There, you'll stroll through its winding streets, enjoy panoramic views and, if you wish, stop at a café to watch the sunset before returning to Tunis.
