Step by Step
The Pitti Palace, once the residence of the influential Medici family, is a stunning testament to Renaissance art and architecture. Within its walls, visitors can admire a vast collection of paintings, sculptures and works of art that recount centuries of Florentine history. Each room in the palace offers a window onto the past, showcasing the opulence and refined taste of its former inhabitants.
Behind the palace lie the Boboli Gardens, a green oasis that combines natural beauty with sculptural art. Designed in the 16th century, these gardens feature a series of terraces, fountains and grottoes that invite visitors to stroll and relax. Along their paths, visitors will find classical statues and panoramic views of Florence that capture the essence of Tuscany.
A short distance away, the Bardini Gardens offer an equally enchanting experience. Renowned for their colourful flowers and unrivalled views of the city, these gardens are the perfect spot for those seeking tranquillity and beauty amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. Their winding paths and shaded areas provide an ideal retreat for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.
Reviews
- LL.An ideal choice for those who have already seen the "more typical" Florence and want something different.
- PP.Good price, good logistics. The only thing I would advise is to wear comfortable shoes to go up and down the terraces in the gardens.
- SS.I recommend visiting the palace early in the morning, then the gardens later in the afternoon to get good light for photos.
- HH.We encountered fewer people than at other more famous attractions, which added to the value of the ride.
