Step by Step

Iceland is famous for its extreme landscapes, and this tour is the perfect way to experience the power of nature. You will depart Reykjavik for the Reykjanes Peninsula, an active geological area with more than 130 volcanoes, many of them still active.

Your first stop will be the Fagradalsfjall volcano, which erupted in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The hike will take you through fields of black, still-smoulding lava, on a walk over volcanic terrain where you can see the recent scars left by geological activity up close.

Along the way, your guide will explain how lava forms, what kind of eruptions have taken place in the area and how Icelanders live between fire and ice. You will also pass the line that separates the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, a truly unique experience.

Next stop is Grindavík, a small fishing village overlooking the North Atlantic. Here you will learn about its history of resilience in the face of seismic and volcanic activity, and enjoy a break and try traditional dishes, such as the classic fish and chips (own expense).

This tour combines adventure, geology and local culture in one experience. Plus, the comfortable transport with on-board Wi-Fi allows you to share every moment and scenery with your loved ones in real time.
