Step by Step

Kennedy Space Center is where space exploration really happens. With the KSC Explore Ticket + Tour, you combine access to the Visitor Complex with a guided bus tour that takes you to the most iconic landmarks of America's multi-user spaceport. All in an intense 2 hours, with planned stops to bring you back with the best photos.

On board the bus you will be accompanied by an expert guide, who will point out key facilities and tell you anecdotes from historic missions. You will get a close-up look at the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) and Launch Complex 39, the heart of the Apollo and Artemis programmes. The tour ends at the Apollo/Saturn V Centre, where you can stay longer on your own.

After the tour, take advantage of your general admission ticket for the full experience: Space Shuttle Atlantis® (with the Shuttle Launch Experience®), the Heroes and Legends exhibit with the US Astronaut Hall of Fame®, the Rocket Garden, 3D movies and family areas such as Planet Play. In addition, there are live presentations (astronaut encounters, Science on a Sphere, Mission Status Briefing...) and, if available, launch observation.

Photography takes centre stage on the Explore Tour: at designated stops you will have just enough time to compose your shots with the VAB, LC-39 and other privileged views of the centre. It's the closest you'll get to non-accredited NASA operating areas.

Visit tip: Spend at least 1 extra hour at the Apollo/Saturn V Centre to savour its staging and return leisurely to the main complex. This way you will enjoy the whole day, alternating between guided tour and free exploration.

Explore Tour route (key stops):

  • VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building): the colossus where the rockets are integrated.
  • Launch Complex 39 (LC-39): living history of Apollo, Shuttle and Artemis; access to the observation gantry/gantry when operational.
  • Apollo/Saturn V Centre: end of tour and free time to explore.

I took photos at VAB and Apollo centre. Expert guide and comfortable shuttle. I wish they would give a summary brochure at the end... it would be useful.

Exciting and without unnecessary waiting. The route covers the key points of KSC. The only thing missing was digital signage to get back to the fast bus.

Very good pace on the tour. Even the Museum was close. One suggestion: more seating in Saturn areas.

Well-thought-out tour: many areas in 2 hours. Impressive VAB. The bus stopped very little in shady areas, a bit uncomfortable in the sun.
