Step by Step

This hovercraft tour will allow you to discover a completely different side of New Orleans, specifically the flora and fauna of its marshlands. The experience lasts around 3 hours, during which you’ll get a close-up view of the region’s landscape. Accompanied by a tour guide, you’ll learn about everything you see.

The airboat is a shallow-draft craft, perfect for navigating the small rivers of the swamp. The guide will stop the airboat at certain points so you can take the best photographs of the scenery. Of particular note are the moss-covered cypress trees and the tupelo trees submerged in water.

As for the wildlife, this place won’t disappoint you. All sorts of animals live in this marsh, which you’ll be able to spot on your trip; some of the most impressive include:

Caimans
Turtles
Snakes
Herons
Little egrets

It was a very fun and informative trip. I think it is an excellent option to take the kids and let them have some fun with nature and the different animals that appear along the route. Highly recommended.
