Step by Step
This small group tour of the Napa Valley is designed for those who want an authentic and relaxed experience, without the rush and crowds. It starts with pick-up from your hotel within the wine region (or agreed meeting point) and takes you to three carefully selected wineries. At each stop you'll have time to tour the winery, taste wines (with optional tasting fees of $20-$25 per winery) and, if you wish, purchase bottles directly on site.
At the midpoint of the day, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a charming winery - a time to sit, chat with the group and continue learning about terroir, local varieties and the stories behind the winemaking houses. Your guide, who also acts as a driver, will tell you anecdotes, historical context and tips on how to best savour each glass.
After lunch, the small group continues on to two other wineries, where personalised attention continues: asking questions, comparing styles and sharing impressions with like-minded fellow travellers is encouraged.
