The tour begins with an air-conditioned bus transfer from the Charleston visitor centre. Upon arrival at Boone Hall, your guide - dressedin period costume - will greet you at the entrance of the mansion and give you a presentation on its history. You will then be taken on a guided tour of the interior of the house, where you will relive centuries of events that shaped the destiny of the American South.
One of the most moving moments of the tour will be a visit to the slave cabins, authentic preserved buildings where you can learn about the lives of enslaved people and the evolution of the Gullah community. To complete the experience, you will enjoy a moving performance at the Gullah Theatre, presented by a local artist in traditional dress.
