Step by Step
The first stop takes you to the House of the Virgin Mary, located on the slopes of Mount Aladag, just 10 km from Ephesus. According to tradition, Mary lived here with St. John after the Council of Ephesus (431 AD). You will explore the shrine and its pilgrimage gardens, famous for its springs and secluded atmosphere.
Next, a short transfer by air-conditioned vehicle takes you to the ancient city of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk along wide marble streets that still bear traces of chariots, discover the Library of Celsus, the Baths of Scholastica and the magnificent Great Theatre, where festivals and public debates were held.
Only in the private mode you will also have access to the Terrace Houses, impressive residences of wealthy families built on three levels, embellished with frescoes and mosaics. You will go up their original staircases to look out over the ancient city.
Before returning, you'll make a brief stop at the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although little remains of its structure, the site retains an aura of grandeur that evokes its monumental past.
The tour concludes with a leisurely drive back to Kusadasi, either to the cruise pier or to your hotel in the city, ensuring you arrive on time and stress-free.
