Step by Step

Toledo, the city of the Three Cultures, opens its doors to you for a guided tour of three of its most outstanding sites, where history, art and spirituality go hand in hand. This guided tour is an ideal way to delve into the city's rich past, accompanied by an expert guide who will take you back in time.

The first stop is the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, founded by the Catholic Monarchs in the 15th century. With its Gothic architecture, two-storey cloisters and elaborate decorations, this building conveys the symbolic power it held for centuries in Spanish history.

Next, you will visit the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, an impressive 12th-century building. Although today it is a monument, its past as a synagogue and its later conversion into a Christian church faithfully represent the multicultural character of Toledo. Its Mudejar style and white columns make it a unique place.

The visit culminates in the Church of Santo Tomé, famous for housing one of the most famous works of the painter El Greco: The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz. The guide will explain the artistic and symbolic elements of the painting, as well as the stories of its characters.

In addition, with your tourist bracelet included, you will have access to other monuments in the city to continue exploring at your own pace. A perfect combination of guided tour and personal discovery.
