Step by Step
Embark on a lively and colourful tour of Triana, Seville's most emblematic neighbourhood. This guided free tour will allow you to discover the places where flamenco was born, where traditional pottery was moulded and where the legends that still define Seville's identity today were forged.
The tour starts at Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, the perfect starting point to cross the Guadalquivir and enter the heart of Triana. With your guide, you will cross the San Telmo Bridge, the connection between monumental Seville and the most popular and artistic quarter of the city.
Once on the other side of the river, you'll stroll along Calle Betis, one of Seville's most picturesque streets, famous for its colourful facades, bohemian atmosphere and unbeatable views of the Torre del Oro and the Cathedral. At this point you will understand why Triana is considered the flamenco soul of Seville.
The tour continues to the Parish Church of Santa Ana, known as "the Cathedral of Triana", and the Chapel of the Mariners, where you will find the venerated image of the Esperanza de Triana. Afterwards, you will visit Calle Pureza and Plaza del Altozano, the heart of the neighbourhood, full of sculptures and local life.
Your guide will also take you to the Triana Market, a vibrant space that combines tradition and modernity, where you can see the remains of the old Castle of San Jorge, historic seat of the Inquisition. Nearby, you will discover the Callejón de la Inquisición and the Museo de la Cerámica, where the pottery heritage that has made the neighbourhood world famous is preserved.
This tour is perfect to feel the purest essence of Seville, a mixture of history, popular art and devotion that can be breathed in every corner of Triana.
