Skip the queues and immerse yourself in the majesty of one of Seville’s most iconic monuments. The Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, crowned by the imposing Giralda tower, awaits you so you can discover every corner of it. This impressive building, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site alongside the Alcázar and the Archivo de Indias, is a true gem that will transport you to another era. What’s more, they are all very close to one another, right in the heart of the city.

Did you know that Seville Cathedral is not only the largest in Spain, but also the third largest in the world? What’s more, the remains of Christopher Columbus and several kings rest within its walls. With almost 2 million visitors a year, it’s no wonder it’s the fifth most visited monument in Spain!

So, would you like to know what awaits you inside?

  • Explore Spain’s largest cathedral: Yes, you read that right! This imposing monument will impress you not only with its size but also with the richness of its details.
  • Marvel at Christopher Columbus’s tomb: Imagine standing before the tomb of the man who changed the course of world history. The feeling is unique and powerful. This is where the famous explorer’s remains rest – a priceless, direct link to history!
  • Climb to the top of the Giralda: Do you dare to go up? From the top of the Giralda, the views of Seville will take your breath away. You’ll see the city spread out before you, with its orange-coloured rooftops and the River Guadalquivir in the distance.

Step by Step

Skip the queues and explore one of the world’s most impressive architectural gems. With these tickets, you can gain direct access to the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede and climb to the top of its iconic tower, the Giralda.

Covering an area of 11,500 square metres, Seville Cathedral is the largest in Spain and the largest Gothic place of worship in Europe. It also ranks as the third-largest cathedral and the fifth-largest Christian church in the world. Impressive, isn’t it?

The cathedral’s Royal Chapel is the final resting place of Christopher Columbus and several kings of the Crown of Castile, such as Peter I the Cruel, Ferdinand III the Saint and Alfonso X the Wise. This makes the cathedral, alongside the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, one of Spain’s most important pantheons. Living history in every corner!

The Giralda, the cathedral’s majestic bell tower, rises to a height of 95 metres and bears a family resemblance to the mosques of Morocco. From the top of the Giralda, the views of Seville are unrivalled: the meandering Guadalquivir River, the Torre del Oro glistening in the sun and the city stretching out on the horizon. The panoramic view is truly worth it!

I really enjoyed it, although the audio guide took a while to load at the start. After that, it worked well and we were able to follow the tour without any problems.

The visit to the Divino Salvador was an added bonus that I also enjoyed. The Cathedral and the Giralda make for a very complete combination.

Everything was straightforward, from collecting the ticket to going in. The cathedral is enormous; it’s almost overwhelming at first.

I was really surprised by how tall the Giralda looked from below, and even more so from the top. A special visit without being over the top.
