Step by Step

This guided tour of Mallorca will take you on a full-day journey to discover the western part of the island. A coach will collect you from your hotel or meeting point and take you through the Sierra de Tramuntana to La Calobra. The expert local guide will use the journey to explain the most interesting facts about the area whilst you enjoy the unbeatable views.

The road leading to La Calobra is unique for its stunning rock formations, characteristic of Mallorca’s west coast. Furthermore, this 13-kilometre road, built in 1929, is renowned as one of the most spectacular in Europe. Along the way, you’ll pass several points of interest:

  • The Sanctuary of Lluc
  • Puig Mayor
  • The Pareis torrent, a canyon over 3 kilometres long that winds its way through narrow gorges

Once in La Calobra, you’ll have some free time to explore the village, have a drink in one of the little cafés around the harbour or relax on the beach.

The second part of the excursion takes place on board a boat, which will take you on a journey of approximately 40 minutes to the harbour of Sóller. The boat trip is the perfect opportunity to admire, from the sea, the ancient defensive towers, coves, cliffs, sea caves and small islands characteristic of the area.

In the harbour of Sóller, after lunch, the tram will be waiting to take you up to the town of Sóller. There , you’ll take a tour of the historic centre to learn about the history of this beautiful town.

The finishing touch to the excursion is the famous Sóller wooden train, built in 1912. On board , you’ll cross the Sóller valley and pass through several tunnels offering spectacular views of the valley until you reach the town of Buñola. Once there, the coach will collect you and take you back to your hotel or chosen pick-up point .

This tour departs from Palma, but you can choose to be picked up from various locations such as Santa Ponsa, Camp de Mar, Paguera, Magalluf, Palmanova, Can Pastilla, Arenal or Playa de Palma. When booking, please select your pick-up point.
