Step by Step

Tulip Experience Amsterdam is not just a field of flowers, but a complete tour of the world of the tulip, designed to help you understand why this flower has become one of the great symbols of the Netherlands. With your ticket you will enter a large outdoor garden, where millions of tulips of hundreds of varieties await you, lined up in bands of colour that resemble an infinite rainbow. It's the perfect place to stroll around, take photos and enjoy the explosion of reds, yellows, pinks, purples and whites.

After touring the garden, you will continue your visit in the indoor tulip museum, which tells the story of this flower from its origins to the present day. By means of panels, old objects and audiovisual resources, you will discover how the tulip arrived in Europe, how the famous "tulipmania" was born in Holland and how the process of cultivation, selection and export of the bulbs is today, always explained from the farmer's point of view.

One of the highlights of the experience is the covered harvesting area, which is included in your ticket. There you can choose your favourite tulips and compose your own bouquet with freshly cut flowers, which you can take with you. As this is an indoor area, tulips are guaranteed to be in bloom throughout the season, regardless of minor weather changes in the fields outside.

The experience is rounded off by tulip-inspired art exhibitions, a small cinema showing videos about tulip cultivation and the region, a café where you can buy drinks and typical products, and a regional market with local items for those who want to take home an extra souvenir. Everything has been designed for you to enjoy a peaceful, photogenic walk, suitable for all ages.

Thanks to the combination of outdoor garden, indoor spaces and covered collection area, Tulip Experience Amsterdam guarantees a colourful spectacle during the open season.

A great spring plan: a walk through rows of colours, a museum to understand the history, a little cinema and at the end your own bouquet. It flew by.

The experience is very good, but the cafeteria was quite full when we went and we couldn't find a seat at the first try. Still, the tour itself is very worthwhile.

I liked the fact that with the digital entrance everything went very quickly. The tulip cutting area is a very nice detail, and on top of that you are not dependent on the weather.

We were delighted. The garden outside is a spectacle of colours and inside the museum tells you about the tulipomania and the current cultivation in a very close way.
