I Amsterdam City Card

Make the most of your trip to the Netherlands with your I Amsterdam City Card. With this card, you’ll have access to over 70 attractions and experiences across the city, as well as the option to hire a bike for a day or take a cruise along Amsterdam’s famous canals, in addition to public transport. You can choose to book this card for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours, depending on your plans. You’ll have one year to activate your card from the date of purchase.

This card allows you to move freely around the city, as it gives you free and unlimited use of GVB public transport (bus, tram and metro) for the duration of your chosen pass. It also gives you access to a long list of activities and places to visit.

So how does the I Amsterdam City Card work?

The card is a digital card that you can use on your smartphone by downloading the I Amsterdam City Card app. With your booking, you’ll receive a code that you can use to activate the card in the app, along with instructions to help you through the process. Once synchronised with the app, you can activate your card directly within the app. But remember to do this just before you visit an attraction or use public transport, as the hours you’ve booked will start counting from the moment you activate it. Bear in mind that you can only use your card on your smartphone, so make sure it always has enough battery power.

Through the app, you can transfer cards to family or friends and explore the city using a map that highlights the best places and activities you can access with the card. A card can only be transferred once.

All the information you need – such as maps, a list of attractions and activities, attraction bookings and much more – is available in the app itself, so you can enjoy your Amsterdam City Card without any hassle.
