The Essential ticket extends the validity to 48 hours and includes a free ice cream. The Explore ticket, meanwhile, allows you to use the bus for 72 hours and includes a 1-hour night-time panoramic tour, as well as the option to enjoy an ice cream or a glass of Prosecco.

Validity begins when you activate the ticket for the first time. You can start your tour at any of the designated stops and, from that moment, hop on and off as many times as you like during the 24, 48 or 72 hours included in your chosen option.     The bus was a little late at one of the stops but apart from that the other routes were very good.

    If you can choose to go on the top of the bus I highly recommend it because you have a great view of the whole route and the city.

    The condition of the buses was very good and they take you to all the places mentioned on the route.

Other Things You Should Know

  • Luggage is not permitted on board
  • Download the Big Bus Tours app before your visit from the App Store or Google Play and add your booking using the reference number.
  • Activate your ticket in the app on the day of your visit so that you can show it to the driver and board the bus. Please note that it can only be activated on the date booked.
  • If you have a group booking, you must all travel together using the same device. If you wish to travel separately, you will need to print out individual tickets before activating them or ask for the booking to be split. Also, remember to ensure your mobile phone is fully charged, although the ticket works offline once activated.
  • A full tour lasts approximately 100 minutes, although this may be extended due to traffic
  • The main stop is at Via Giovanni Giolitti 32, next to Termini station
  • The Explore ticket’s night-time tour is a sightseeing tour and does not allow passengers to get on and off during the journey
