Step by Step

To experience Italy is also to experience its most authentic flavours, and on this exclusive tour of the Antica Acetaia Cavedoni, located in the heart of Modena, you will immerse yourself in one of the country's tastiest traditions: balsamic vinegar. Unlike other wine-focused culinary tours, this experience opens the door to a unique artisanal production of historic quality.

During the tour, you will meet a member of the Cavedoni family, who have been making traditional balsamic vinegar for seven generations since 1860. Together with them, you will start by exploring the vineyards where the grapes used are born, learning about the specific varieties and the environment that influences their taste.

Afterwards, you will tour the cellar and the barrel rooms, where this liquid gold rests for years. You will learn about the complex ageing process, the barrel rotation and the traditional methods that make this vinegar a world-renowned premium product.

The tour ends with a tasting of balsamic vinegars between 5 and 30 years old, paired with local delicacies such as cheeses, cured meats and traditional bread. You will also enjoy a glass of Lambrusco wine, produced on the estate itself, completing a perfect gastronomic experience.

At the end of the tasting, you will have free time to buy vinegar and other gourmet products directly from the farm shop. An ideal opportunity to take a piece of this experience home with you.
