Step by Step

Join this tour along the Italian coast, where you’ll visit five picturesque villages in the province of La Spezia, known as the Cinque Terre. Over the course of around 12 hours, you’ll explore the Italian Riviera in the Liguria region and visit the villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. You’ll travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach, departing from Milan.

Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll learn about the history and culture of these five iconic villages, which were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The tour will depart from Milan, travelling directly to the Cinque Terre via the coastal route. In Manarola, you’ll have free time to explore its vineyards and admire the pastel-coloured houses and jetties lapped by the waters of the Ligurian Sea.

You’ll travel by train to Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the five villages. Here, you’ll also have free time to explore the town, visit its beaches (the longest in the region) and enjoy a lunch of authentic Italian cuisine. From Monterosso, you’ll board a cruise lasting around 90 minutes, which will take you to the city of La Spezia.

This final leg of your boat trip will allow you to enjoy the beautiful views of the Italian Riviera, characterised by its white stone cliffs and the crystal-clear waters of the Ligurian Sea. On board the cruise, you’ll be able to admire the charming village of Portovenere from the sea, crowned by the impressive Doria Castle.

Once the sea journey is over, you’ll arrive in La Spezia, where a vehicle will collect you and take you back to Milan, dropping you off at your original starting point.
