There are several types of tickets to enter the Duomo in Florence, whether you buy them at the ticket office or through Helloticket.

The Duomo is divided into several parts: the cathedral itself, the Baptistery, Giotto's Bell Tower, Brunellesch's dome and the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo. Below are the different combinations available to visit one or more of these areas:

• Free admission: you can only enter the nave of the cathedral, but be prepared to queue for a long time and not be able to move around much in the area that is open to visitors. No payment or advance booking is required, and you can visit every day except Sundays and religious holidays.
• Full admission - from S$88: this ticket can be purchased in person at the ticket office or on the official website of the Florence Cathedral, as well as on the Hellotickets website.
• Cathedral + Giotto's Bell Tower + Opera Museum - from S$42: you can purchase this ticket through Hellotickets and it also allows you to skip the queue.
• Full ticket without dome - from S$35: also excludes Giotto's bell tower.
• Cathedral + Giotto's Bell Tower + Opera Museum - from 42: you can purchase this ticket through Hellotickets and it also allows you to skip the queue.
• Cathedral + Museum + Baptistery: only available in person at the ticket office or on the official website of the Florence Duomo.

Tickets with guided tour

• Full ticket + guide - from S$225: you can also purchase this ticket in person and online (but the option in Spanish is not always available). It is also available on the Hellotickets website, which allows you to skip the queues.
• Cathedral + guide + dome - from S$121: you can purchase this ticket through Hellotickets and it also allows you to skip the queues.

Furthermore, all tickets purchased in advance are skip-the-line tickets, which will save you a considerable amount of time.

One option for visiting the Duomo is to buy tickets directly at the ticket office or online on the complex's website. In the first case, keep in mind that this may not be a good idea, as queues can be over an hour long and tickets are subject to availability. If, despite this, you choose this option, you will need to arrive very early at the official ticket office in Piazza del Duomo, 14/A.

If you prefer to buy them online, you will find several options depending on which parts of the complex you want to visit. The recent change in the ticket format may make it difficult to purchase tickets. Keep in mind that you will have to specify the date and time of your visit, although you will then have another 3 days to complete it.

• Ghiberti Pass: includes the Museum, the Baptistery and the remains of Santa Reparata. The price is £15.
• Giotto Pass: you can visit all the monuments except the dome. It costs around £18.
• Brunelleschi Pass: this is the most comprehensive pass, as it allows entry to all the monuments in the complex. Remember that to go up to the dome, you will need to specify the exact time slot in which you wish to do so. The price is around £25.

The Duomo also offers visitors the option of guided tours, although they are not always available in Spanish. Prices in this case also depend on the parts of the tour.

• Guided tour of the Cathedral (English or Italian): admission costs around £13.
• Guided tour of the Baptistery and Museum (Italian or English): around £22.

Tickets that combine several monuments are usually more convenient and offer savings on the total cost. In this case, in addition to the Duomo, you can visit the Accademia Gallery, including Michelangelo's David.

All this from £83 in groups of no more than 12 people and without having to queue to enter the monuments.

With your expert guide, you can tour the nave of the cathedral and climb Brunelleschi's dome. The rest of the Duomo (Giotto's bell tower, the Baptistery and the square) will be explained to you from the outside.

Why buy this ticket?
