Step by Step
Bali is not just about beaches and jungles: to the east of the island you'll find places steeped in history and spirituality. The USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben is famous among divers, but on this tour you'll admire it from the shore while learning about its history and that of Amed, the fishing village that has reinvented itself around underwater tourism.
Next, you'll head to Lempuyang Temple, one of Bali's oldest and most sacred shrines. You will cross the "Gate of Heaven" - two pillars carved in stone - which frame the mountains in the background and offer unforgettable photographs on a clear day. Your guide will explain the legends and rituals surrounding this sacred place.
After lunch (not included), the journey continues to Tirta Gangga, the water palace of the Karangasem royal family. You will stroll along paths flanked by statues and fountains where water gushes into ponds populated by water lilies and koi fish. This haven of peace will allow you to appreciate the harmony between architecture and nature.
Throughout the day you will enjoy private transport in an air-conditioned vehicle. You can choose to be picked up at your accommodation or go to the meeting point in Tulamben if you prefer to start your cultural immersion there.
At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel with a heart full of stories and the best images of a more authentic and less explored Bali.
