Step by Step

Embark on a traditional sailing falucca, the wind-powered sailboat that generations of Egyptians have used to rule the waters of the Nile. For 1 hour 30 minutes, glide over turquoise waters as you gaze at palm groves, mud-brick houses and the silhouettes of temples in the distance.

Your local guide will tell you legends of Aswan, explain the historical significance of the Nile and show you the best angles for your photos. As this is a private tour, you can customise the route and pace: cruise slowly at sunset, or get an early start to attend the floating felucca market.

The falucca departs from the Aswan jetty or cruise port, with pick-up included from any hotel within the city. If you are staying in the Nubian village or near the Philae Temple, you can request a pick-up at a supplement of 5 USD per person for a car transfer.

In addition to the basic route, you can combine your tour with different booking options: breakfast on board, Egyptian-style lunch, entrance to the Botanical Gardens or a visit to Elephantine Island. This way, your experience will be even more complete.
