Step by Step
This free tour of Camden Town invites you to immerse yourself in one of North West London's most iconic neighbourhoods, famous for its rebellious spirit, cultural diversity and close connection to the history of British music. Camden is a place where every street, every mural and every venue tells a story, and this tour will allow you to experience it up close.
Throughout the 2-hour tour, your English-speaking guide will take you to places closely linked to London's counterculture. You'll discover the streets where Amy Winehouse walked, visit pubs where the British ska of Madness was forged and learn about the beginnings of legendary bands such as Oasis and Coldplay, who found in Camden an ideal creative home to take off.
As well as its musical heritage, Camden is known for its alternative markets, international food stalls, quirky shops and an urban vibe that mixes street art, unfiltered creativity and a vibrant atmosphere. You'll also see the Regent's Canal and make your way to Primrose Hill, one of North London's most enchanting viewpoints.
The free tour is accessible, takes place in small groups of a maximum of 15 people and works on a free contribution model: at the end of the tour, each participant gives the guide the amount they consider appropriate according to their experience.
