Step by Step
Embark on a foodie journey through the heart of Cardiff and immerse yourself in its culinary culture. The tour begins at the famous Cardiff Market, a vibrant indoor market where you can enjoy your first taste of a freshly baked Clark's Pie from a fifth-generation family-run deli.
Next, cross the walls of Cardiff Castle and head upstairs to the Keep Terrace Café, where you'll be served a comforting Welsh tea or coffee accompanied by a Welshcake, the region's signature round sweet.
Along the way, your guide will point out the most spectacular sights: the modern skyline of the Principality Stadium, the Victorian architecture of the city centre and the green corners that bring South Wales to life. Each stop becomes a lesson in history and tradition, spiced with tidbits about the origins of each dish.
The tour continues with a tasting of Welsh artisan cheeses and the iconic Welsh rarebit, a melted cheese toast with mustard and beer. To close, you'll be toasted with a local cider before signing off at 12.30pm, your taste buds full of flavour and your head full of stories.
This tour is perfect for first-time visitors to Cardiff, as well as locals looking to discover new culinary gems.
