Step by Step

This excursion to Chamonix and Mont Blanc from Geneva will allow you to travel to two stunning locations in France in a comfortable and safe way. It is a very complete activity that includes everything you need to enjoy a full day excursion.

From the departure in Geneva, the driver/expert local guide will accompany you and will be in charge of helping you to get to know the area in more depth. Thanks to him you will learn interesting facts about the places you will visit. Please note that the guide will accompany you on the bus and in the city.

You will travel through the splendid countryside to Chamonix, a picturesque alpine town that will leave you speechless. From there you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Swiss, French and Italian Alps , including Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

To enhance the experience, you can choose from two optional extra activities:

  • Cable car ride to the summit of Aiguille du Midi (if selected).
  • Rack railway ride to Montenvers with 3-course lunch in Chamoix

So that you can enjoy these activities at your own pace and to the fullest, you will have free time on the cable car or train and your guide will meet you afterwards.

Of course, transfers to and from Geneva in an air-conditioned vehicle are included. The idea is that you don't have to worry about anything but enjoying yourself.

  • You will need a valid passport on the day of travel.
  • If one of the activities closes, we will offer alternative options or partial refunds, but transport will not be refunded in any case.
  • The Aiguille du Midi cable car and the Mer de Glace train will operate according to local weather conditions on the day.
  • The annual closure of the Aiguille du Midi takes place from 6 November to 15 December.
  • Wear suitable clothing for a day in the mountains.
  • Please note that if you choose the Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace options, you will be provided with a multipass. Multipass which gives access to all Mont Blanc company facilities. If you use this Multipass for only one activity, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc will consider it as used and cannot be refunded if the other activities are closed. Compagnie Mont Blanc offers alternative activities, but does not authorise the refund of the multipass.
  • If cancelled due to bad weather conditions, you will be offered another date or a full refund.
  • Not recommended for children aged 2 years and under.
  • Not wheelchair accessible
