Step by Step
This excursion to Bocairent from Valencia takes you to one of the most characterful villages in the Valencian hinterland, known for its cobbled streets, its houses perched on the rock and its distinctively medieval character. During the journey, the guide will introduce you to the history and interesting facts about this unique spot.
The tour begins with a walk along the Ruta Mágica, a route blending nature and history that allows you to view Bocairent from different angles and discover its famous ‘window caves’ carved into the rock. From this area, you’ll also enjoy some of the best panoramic views of the village.
One of the most special moments will be a visit to one of its cave complexes. Depending on the option chosen and the group’s circumstances, you’ll be able to explore the Cuevas de los Moros – a veritable labyrinth of interconnected galleries and chambers – or the Covetes del Colomer, which are easier to access but equally fascinating due to their origins and uniqueness. Both offer a glimpse into Bocairent’s Islamic and troglodyte past.
The tour continues through the old town, with its narrow alleyways, passageways and charming squares. Before returning to Valencia, you’ll have approximately one hour of free time to have a drink, sample local produce or continue exploring on your own.
