Step by Step
This night-time excursion to Teide National Park will allow you to witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles: a sky full of stars. The excursion begins in the south of Tenerife – including hotel pick-up if you’re staying in this area – and takes place in a coach or minibus.
The total price includes, in addition to an expert guide, warm coats to keep out the cold, dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and the chance to use a telescope. The tour lasts approximately 6 hours.
The Canary Islands are the perfect place for stargazing. There is no excessive light pollution and they are surrounded by miles and miles of ocean. In the park surrounding the volcano, the setting is even more idyllic, as light pollution is almost non-existent.
The night sky is home to 88 constellations, 83 of which can be seen from this protected area. For this reason, Teide National Park is considered a ‘Starlight Destination’.
The tour includes stops at the following points:
- Los Poleos Viewpoint: Situated at an altitude of 1,400 metres, it overlooks the Juan Díaz and Franceses ravines. We usually stop here to admire the sunset with a glass of cava in hand. From here, the view stretches beyond the clouds
- Las Narices del Teide Viewpoint: From this spot, you can admire the stars unobstructed. The sky is completely dark, providing perfect viewing conditions through the telescope
