Step by Step
Step out of Port Elizabeth and into the heart of Addo Elephant National Park, a sanctuary that protects over 600 elephants and other iconic species such as zebra, antelope and buffalo. Your guide will explain the richness of the unique ecosystem that is home to Africa's 'Big 7': elephant, black rhino, leopard, lion, buffalo, great white shark and southern right whale (by sea).
Drive along inland tracks while learning about the reserve's conservation methods and history. Each stop is an opportunity to spot herds, capture wildlife photographs and hear real-life anecdotes from rangers and biologists.
You'll enjoy a traditional barbecue lunch on a lookout overlooking the savannah. Savour South African-style grilled meats while your guide answers all your questions about the park and its inhabitants.
Spend the afternoon exploring further in your private vehicle, drinking the water provided and continuing your guided safari. Back in the mid-afternoon, take in your last sightings of the African sunset before returning to Port Elizabeth.
This tour guarantees personalised attention, flexibility to prioritise your favourite animals and the peace of mind of a private transfer there and back, with no rush or huge groups.
