Step by Step
The circular tour starts on the Corniche, where traditional dhows sway in front of an ultra-modern skyline. On board you'll find audio commentary headsets in eleven languages - including English and Spanish - that reveal how Doha went from pearling village to global metropolis. From the top deck you'll see the silhouette of the Museum of Islamic Art, designed by I. M. Pei, reflected in the turquoise gulf.
A few minutes later, the bus stops in front of Souq Waqif, a labyrinth of corridors where the aroma of spices and the smoke of braziers permeates every corner. Here you can get off, lose yourself among the halvah and falcon stalls, and get back on the next bus - buses run every 30-40 minutes. As you continue along the route, the audio guide introduces Katara Village' s cultural projects and the bronze sculptures that flank its Roman amphitheatre, while the sea breeze cools the deck.
The stretch leading to The Pearl-Qatar crosses bridges that open onto private marinas and Mediterranean-style residences. The contrast between the skyscrapers of West Bay and the pastel facades of Qanat Quartier reveals the diversity of contemporary Qatari architecture. Back on the Corniche, the bus skirts the Al Thumama stadium, a reminder of the recent World Cup, before connecting you back to the green lung of the Corniche Park.
You can complete the return trip in 90 minutes or divide your day between shopping, museums and gastronomy thanks to the unlimited stops on your pass. A convenient and flexible way to get to know Doha in just a few hours.
