Step by Step

The day begins first thing in the morning in Mexico City, from where you’ll travel to the state of Hidalgo, passing through landscapes that change as you approach the mountains. When booking, you can choose between taking the excursion without a meal or adding a handy packed lunch to take with you for the day.

On arrival at the Tolantongo Caves, you’ll discover a natural setting situated at around 1,280 metres above sea level. The complex features hot springs, waterfalls, caves, footpaths and a river with turquoise hues, creating the perfect setting to combine relaxation and adventure.

You’ll have time to swim in the river, explore the cave and walk through the tunnel, provided that weather conditions and the park authorities allow access. You can also relax in the hot springs and enjoy the viewpoints overlooking the canyon.

The tour includes access to Paraíso Escondido, an area renowned for its numerous turquoise-coloured hot springs. Those seeking a more active experience can also visit the suspension bridge, walk the trails or make use of the facilities available on site.
