Step by Step
Experience an unforgettable day on the Kyoto coast with this tour to Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya, two of Japan's most beautiful landscapes.
The first stop is Amanohashidate, one of Japan's Three Scenic Landscapes, a 3.6 km sandbank covered with more than 8,000 pine trees. From the viewpoint on the mountain, accessible by cable car or monorail (extra charge), the view is so spectacular that it looks like a dragon flying over the sea.
During your free time you can visit the Chionji Temple and Monjudo Hall, known for their academic blessings and historical value, or relax in the nearby hot springs (entrance fee not included).
After lunch (not included), you will continue to the picturesque village of Ine Funaya, where over 200 traditional houseboats line the bay. Here you will have the option to cycle through the narrow streets, take a leisurely stroll or take a boat trip across the bay (extra charge) to observe the houses from the water and feed the seagulls.
This tour offers the perfect combination of nature, culture and local life, off the beaten tourist track, in a comfortable, up-close experience with flexibility in activities.
At the end, you will return to Kyoto and Osaka with the satisfaction of having discovered two of the most beautiful and least crowded places in the country, with indelible memories of the authentic Japanese coastline.
