This gondola ride in Venice is an ideal way to discover the city from its canals and enjoy one of its most iconic traditions. The experience begins with an introductory walking tour lasting around 20 minutes, during which you’ll learn about the history of the gondola, the role of the gondolier and some interesting facts about this unmistakable symbol of Venice.

You will then board a shared gondola for a tour lasting approximately 30 minutes along the Grand Canal and other smaller waterways. During the trip, you’ll be able to admire some of the city’s most iconic sights, such as the La Fenice area, Mozart’s House, the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, Punta della Dogana, the surroundings of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and views across St Mark’s Basin.

As well as the ride itself, this activity includes features that greatly enrich your visit. You’ll receive access to a mobile app with commentary on the route and a QR code to download a digital map showing what Venice looked like between the Middle Ages and the 18th century – a fascinating way to compare the city today with its past.
