Step by Step

Admire one of the most spectacular temples in Italy with your ticket to Siena Cathedral. This Gothic-Romanesque building, built between 1214 and 1263, has become an artistic reference for housing works by such important figures as Donatello, Michelangelo and Pinturicchio. Its marble façade and sumptuous interior will take your breath away.

In addition to exploring the Cathedral, your ticket includes access to the Piccolomini Library, a spectacular space dedicated to Pope Pius II, decorated with frescoes by the young Raphael. This library is not only a place of study, but an art gallery in its own right.

One of the most impressive elements of the Cathedral is its marble floor, composed of 56 panels sculpted by more than 40 artists between the 14th and 16th centuries. These pieces narrate religious and allegorical scenes, and can only be seen in their entirety during certain periods of the year: from 27 June to 31 July, and from 18 August to 18 October.

Thanks to the audio guide on your mobile phone, available in five languages, you can explore each work, chapel and corner of the temple at your own pace. This tour is ideal for both art lovers and those seeking a better understanding of Siena's religious and cultural history.
