Step by Step

When you arrive at the winery, an expert oenologist welcomes you with a glass of local sparkling wine and guides you through the barrel room, where the oak wood and the aroma of fermenting grapes anticipate the tasting. The presentation begins with the Rosso di Montalcino, young and fruity, perfect to understand the freshness of the terroir. Next, the Brunello, crowned as one of Italy's nobles, displays silky tannins, ripe cherry notes and a long finish that evokes the limestone of the landscape.

The third glass is a signature wine, made in small batches from selected vines, combining the structure of Brunello with a unique floral elegance. Each sip is accompanied by homemade bread, pecorino cheese and artisan cured meats, designed to bring out the nuances of each vintage. During the tasting the oenologist explains the ageing process, the particularities of the Val d'Orcia climate and answers all your questions, creating a close and didactic atmosphere.

I would have liked a version with more varied cheeses, but I still enjoyed it very much.

It was a pleasure to sit quietly, taste wines and hear about the ageing, the soil and the wine history of Montalcino.

If you like red wine with character, the Brunello in this tasting is a must. The accompaniments help a lot.

One of the best tastings I have ever had: powerful wines, clear explanations, warm atmosphere.
