Step by Step
On this cycle tour around Florence, you’ll have the chance to enjoy views of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, whilst being accompanied by a guide who’ll teach you about its history. In groups of no more than 12 people, and over the course of around two and a half hours, you’ll discover gems of Tuscan architecture, such as the Ponte Vecchio, the historic Piazza della Repubblica and the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore – the city’s symbol, the episcopal see of the Archdiocese of Florence and one of the masterpieces of Gothic and Italian Renaissance art.
You’ll also stop at Piazza di San Lorenzo, where you can admire its beautiful basilica, built by Brunelleschi on the orders of the Medici family. You’ll stroll along Via Tornabuoni, one of the most luxurious streets in Florence’s historic centre, and cross the Ponte della Santa Trinita, the world’s oldest elliptical-arched bridge.
In the Oltrarno district, you’ll have the chance to stop for an ice cream or a coffee, and see the beautiful Piazza del Santo Spirito, with the basilica of the same name where Michelangelo took refuge and studied anatomy as a young man.
You’ll have the chance to walk past the Palazzo Pitti, the former residence of a Florentine banker, and finish the tour in Piazza della Signoria, with the Palazzo Vecchio in view.
