Step by Step
The adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel on the Amalfi Coast, where an air-conditioned vehicle will be waiting for you 30 minutes before the start. You will relax on the approximately one-hour drive to the impressive Pompeii Archaeological Park.
Upon arrival, you will enter directly into the site thanks to your skip-the-line ticket. Over the course of two hours, you will walk through the western part of the ancient city, following your professional English-speaking guide. You will discover the Basilica, the centre of judicial and commercial life; you will walk through the Forum, the political and social epicentre of the city; and you will enter the baths and the bakery, where you will learn about the daily customs of the inhabitants .
You will visit several domus (aristocratic houses), whose wall paintings and mosaics reveal the opulence and art of prehistoric Pompeii. Your guide will explain how the patrician families lived, the sewage system and the impact of the eruption of Vesuvius, showing the tragic details of that catastrophe.
At the end of the tour, you will return in the same vehicle to the Amalfi Coast, with your mind full of stories, unforgettable images and the feeling of having gone back two thousand years.
