Step by Step

A guided tour of the Little Museum of Dublin is the perfect opportunity to discover the daily life and great historical moments of the city from a human, fun and authentic perspective. This quirky museum, housed in a beautifully preserved Georgian building, is home to over 5,000 objects donated by the people of Dublin, making it a real time capsule.

Your guide will take you through the different rooms of the museum, explaining how these everyday objects, photographs, documents and personal mementos tell the story of Ireland's transformation from the early 20th century to the present day. You will learn about key moments such as the 1916 Rising, the cultural rise of the city, the arrival of Irish pop music and the evolution of the Dublin character.

The experience is dynamic and engaging, with guides combining history, humour and storytelling to provide a tour that is as educational as it is entertaining. Thanks to its small size and proximity to the exhibits, the visit feels intimate and authentic, as if you were entering the home of a Dubliner who wants to tell you about his life and that of his city.

A perfect plan for those looking for a different cultural experience, easy to enjoy and full of curiosities that you won't find in any book.

Great for exploring at a leisurely pace, without the crowds, and with a more local feel than the big places.

Good discovery, I hadn't seen it in the classic Dublin listings before. Pleasant surprise.

The only thing I would change is that there should be a coffee or rest room at the end. But the museum is very nice.

If you are travelling with older children, it can fit in well because it is not too large.
