Budapest Card

Discover Hungary’s vibrant capital with the Budapest Card. Your pass for free entry to over 30 of the city’s attractions and discounts on admission to many other tourist sites. These discounts can be as much as 50 per cent and even apply at some of the city’s restaurants.

Another great advantage of the card is that it includes unlimited access to the city’s entire public transport network, making it easier and more convenient to get around between the various tourist attractions.

You can choose the duration of your card from 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours, depending on your interests and how you organise your trip. The card’s validity period begins once you activate it by using it for the first time at an attraction or on public transport.

These are just some of the attractions you can visit. Once you’ve bought your card, you’ll receive a complete, up-to-date list of all the attractions and activities you can enjoy, along with discounts for those that aren’t free with the card.

The cards are available for children aged 6 and over, and each card is valid for one adult and one child up to the age of 6 travelling with them. This means that children under the age of 6 do not need to pay for a separate pass.

How does the Budapest Card work?

The Budapest Card is a physical card that you’ll need to show at the included attractions and on public transport to gain access. What you’ll receive upon purchase is a booking for the card itself, which you’ll need to present at a collection point to collect the physical card. Don’t worry – once you’ve booked your card, you’ll receive all the information and instructions by email, including the collection points, so you can collect and use it without any problems. At the very same collection points where you’ll receive your card, staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have about using the Budapest Card.
