Step by Step

Düsseldorf has established itself as the fashion capital of Germany, thanks to its elegant Königsallee ("Kö"), where luxury shop windows coexist with canals and baroque bridges. On this guided tour, you'll start by taking in the window displays before heading into the bustling Old Town (Altstadt), known as "the longest bar in the world" for its concentration of beer gardens and taverns.

Bolkerstraße will introduce you to the atmosphere of the old town, where you'll taste typical Altbier while your guide shares legends about the famous Killepitsch liqueur at Et Kabuffke Killepitschstube. Next, you'll stop in front of the Old Town Hall, the epicentre of the Düsseldorf Carnival, to discover how this popular festival transforms the city every November.

The tour continues on the banks of the Rhine, where the Rheinuferpromenade offers panoramic views of the modern MedienHafen district, with its avant-garde architecture and cranes converted into galleries. You'll stroll through Carlsplatz Markt, an open-air food market, ideal for feeling the local pulse and sampling fresh snacks.

In addition to the history and architecture, your guide will show you hidden corners and unique photo spots, such as the Goose Girl fountain or small medieval-style courtyards. Throughout the tour, you'll have space to ask questions, take pictures and plan your afternoon of shopping or dining in the city.
