Take a trip back in time with this ticket to the Museum of the Great War in Meaux. This is a unique experience where you can enjoy one of the largest collections on the First World War in a space located very close to the site of the Battle of the Marne, one of the main battles of this conflict. You will have the opportunity to enter both the permanent and temporary exhibitions that the museum prepares.
The museum is housed in a building designed to evoke the trenches of the war and houses a collection with a wide range of artefacts, documents and multimedia exhibits. For example, one of the exhibitions that stands out the most is the trench experience.
Doing this will give you a very realistic view of what life was like in the trenches. The installation includes a recreated trench system, with sound and lighting effects, as well as objects and exhibits showing the routine of soldiers in the trenches.
From the collection, you will also see other highlights, such as the various propaganda posters used by both sides during the war. You will also see a French Renault FT-17 tank, a British Mark V tank and a German Fokker Eindecker aircraft, among other objects.
