Step by Step
Antibes is more than beaches and ramparts: its culinary tradition is a real Provençal treasure. You will start at the Jardin Eden, a green oasis by the fountain, where your guide will welcome you with a brief overview of the history of the city and the route you will follow.
The first stop will take you to an absinthe bar, where you will taste the legendary "green fairy" accompanied by homemade tapenades. As you enjoy this centuries-old drink, you'll learn about the legends and curiosities of how absinthe shaped the social life of the region.
Next, you'll head to a surprise bar "off the beaten path", where you'll sample seasonal snacks along with two glasses of wine, sharing plates of local cheese and charcuterie. Here you will discover the real atmosphere of Antibes, amidst laughter and anecdotes from your guide.
The third stop will surprise you with a very local recipe in a specialised establishment, where you will taste a traditional dish that you will rarely see outside the homes of Provence. Each mouthful will be accompanied by explanations of centuries-old ingredients and techniques.
The grand finale will take place at the best caterer in town, where a menu of 1 Michelin-starred creations will leave you hungry for dinner afterwards: elaborate tapas, gourmet desserts and your favourite drink among the day's options. On the way out, you'll ascend the bastions for a sunset toast and recommendations for the night ahead.
