Step by Step

If you're looking for a different way to explore the landscapes of Punta Cana, this half-day ATV tour offers a perfect combination of adventure, culture and nature. You'll depart from your hotel or meeting point to the off-road vehicle ranch, where you'll receive a brief safety briefing before starting your tour.

You will drive your ATV caravan, accompanied by an expert guide, through rugged trails surrounded by rainforest, plantations and rural villages. Your first stop will be at a Dominican farm, where you can learn about local products such as coffee, chocolate, mamajuana and cigars, and participate in a tasting of these local delicacies.

The next stop will take you to Los Hoyos del Salado cenote, a 25-foot deep crystal clear water cave where you can take a refreshing swim or simply enjoy the natural surroundings. This hidden cenote experience will be one of the most memorable points of the tour.

Finally, you will visit the stunning Macao beach, surrounded by limestone cliffs and famous for its white sand and gentle waves. Here you can relax, take photos or take a dip before returning to the starting point.

This tour is designed for active travellers who want to combine adventure, culture and natural beauty in an unforgettable experience in the Dominican Republic.

I wish they included the professional photos in the price; they sell them separately. Still, I'd do it again tomorrow, it was great fun.

I was expecting more jumps, but the course is more scenic than extreme. It's fine for a family trip.

My GoPro suffered from dust; take a case. Otherwise, it was an adventure vibe from start to finish.

Recommendation: wear a swimming costume underneath, there are no changing rooms in the cave, you change quickly after the quad and that's it.
