Step by Step
From the first stroke of the paddle, the horizon fills with pine-covered islets and the bell tower of Santa Eufemia is left behind. The guide sets a comfortable pace towards the first stop: an inlet of limestone rock where he hands out masks and snorkels for you to see sea urchins and parrot fish hiding among the posidonia.
Back in the kayak, the crossing continues to Red Island, the jewel of the archipelago. Here you have an hour to wander along shady paths, climb the old monastery tower or simply relax on the pebble beach. Meanwhile, the guide stores your belongings in watertight bags and captures underwater photos that you will receive at no extra cost.
The return journey follows a circular route around the Golden Cape Peninsula, a natural sanctuary where golden cliffs contrast with the deep blue. Each paddle is accompanied by stories of pirates, Venetian traders and shipwreck legends that the guide weaves together with humour. When the quayside comes into view again, Rovinj's domes are tinged with orange and the sense of adventure lingers in every muscle.
