Step by Step

Your adventure begins with a comfortable road transfer to the banks of Barton Creek. There you'll board an open canoe and, torch in hand, paddle through mangroves to the hidden entrance of the cave, where you'll enter passages that the ancient Maya considered sacred. Learn about the local archaeology and geology as you gaze at formations that have been millions of years in the making.

Once inside, you'll discover chambers filled with stalactites, crystals and eco-chambers that reflect centuries of history. After exploring at your own pace, you'll make a canoe turn and gently make your way back to shore, where a refreshing swim in the clear waters will recharge your batteries.

Your next stop is lunch, served in a jungle setting: a local dish with a vegetarian option and a drink included, perfect for refuelling before the second part of the tour.

Next, you'll enjoy one of three optional activities: an adrenaline-pumping zip-line over the jungle canopy, a visit to the butterfly garden to discover exotic species and tropical plants, or a hike to the impressive Big Rock Falls, a 150-foot waterfall with a natural pool.

At the end, you'll return in comfort to the starting point in San Ignacio, taking with you souvenirs of Belize' s rich Mayan culture and lush nature.
