Step by Step

The Albertina Modern, located in the historic Stubenring House, is one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Europe. Part of the Albertina Museum complex, it is dedicated to exhibiting the most important trends in art from the post-war period to the present day.

With more than 60,000 works by 5,000 artists, the museum offers an exceptional insight into the development of contemporary European and Austrian art. In its spacious rooms you will find works by great figures such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Picasso, Georg Baselitz, Arnulf Rainer, Valie Export and Maria Lassnig, among many others.

In addition, the museum has one of the largest collections of post-1945 Austrian art, including key pieces from expressionism, conceptual art and abstract art. Each exhibition is carefully curated to offer a journey through the evolution of artistic ideas that have defined the last 80 years.

Located in the heart of Vienna, the Albertina Modern has become a meeting point for today's art lovers, with cutting-edge temporary exhibitions, multimedia installations and proposals that invite you to reflect on the present through art.

Your ticket gives you access to all the exhibitions available on the day of your visit, allowing you to enjoy at your own pace a space where art, architecture and history combine masterfully.

A good cultural break between cafés and strolls through the centre.

It takes a few extra minutes to take a good look at the temporary exhibitions: they change frequently.

I expected less, so I left happy. It is not as "famous" as others, which makes it quieter.
