Step by Step
Located in Davie, very close to Fort Lauderdale, Flamingo Gardens is one of South Florida’s most visited natural gems. With your skip-the-queue ticket, you can explore this stunning complex—comprising botanical gardens, an animal sanctuary, a historical museum and an aviary—at your own pace.
Throughout the tour, you’ll encounter over 3,000 species of local and exotic plants, arranged in themed gardens that transport you through different ecosystems around the world. Don’t miss the Florida Wildflower Garden, the Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens, or the Arboretum, home to monumental trees, including the largest in the state.
The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary is home to over 85 native species that cannot survive in the wild. These include flamingos, otters, panthers, bobcats, eagles and alligators, which you can observe during the Wildlife Encounters – educational and entertaining shows suitable for all ages.
If you’d prefer a bird’s-eye view, hop on the tram with English commentary – a panoramic tour that takes you through the park’s various ecosystems and unspoilt areas, showcasing landscapes that have remained untouched for over a century.
Don’t forget to visit the Wray House Museum, a 1930s summer residence surrounded by centuries-old oak trees. Restored in 1991, its interior retains its original furniture and décor, offering a fascinating glimpse into the history and way of life of old South Florida.
