Start your adventure at the Mamertine Prison: there you’ll present your vouchers for the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Make sure you arrive at the ticket desk at least one hour before your booked time slot for the Colosseum. The walk to the amphitheatre takes about 15 minutes, so once you’ve exchanged your vouchers, you can decide whether to visit the prison itself first or leave it until last. Do make sure, however, that you’re at the Colosseum turnstiles at least 15 minutes before the time stated on your ticket, as that is the exact time you’ll be allowed entry.
