On the drive back to your hotel, pass by some of Delhi’s well-known attractions, such as India Gate, built in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in World War I; the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House), the official residence of the President of India; Before you are dropped off at your hotel, you’ll receive your complimentary souvenir! Next you’re off to colorful Dilli Haat, an open-air Indian crafts and food bazaar offering a large variety of handmade goods, fabrics and tasty treats that promote many of India’s cultural traditions. For lunch, enjoy food from any one of the permanent food stalls. Then, explore the market, maneuvering with ease through the stalls and communicating effortlessly with vendors with the help of your guide. Admire (and purchase if you wish) local handicrafts like ornaments, camel-skin footwear, sandalwood and rosewood carvings, gems and a whole lot more.
Your private sightseeing tour of Delhi starts as you are picked up from your hotel by your guide and driven to Bahai Temple, commonly referred to as the Lotus Temple for its stunning shape that looks like an unfurling white lotus.
